Welcome to Reform UK Southampton City Branch

A message from the Chair of Southampton Branch - John Edwards

It is a sad state of affairs that the housing stock in Southampton has been sadly neglected by the Labour council and was rated poorly nationwide compared to other councils. Now Labour are asking residents to alert them to empty properties. What kind of recording and administrative systems have they got in the civic centre. I now of one former tenant who was evicted over a year ago, only to find that his old home is still empty.

Other news is that the city's two Labour MP's voted to scale back access to the 800 year old trial by jury system. Maybe having more judges, reopening courts that were closed down before now would help? Our rights are being diminished, especially if you consider that thousands of people have been arrested and prosecuted for social media posts. Its all getting a bit like the former soviet countries and China, where state surveillance coerced the freedoms we have enjoyed for a lifetime.

If this is what diversity, equity and inclusion means, Labour can keep it. You can help them keep it through voting Reform UK at every opportunity.

You can help make a difference by supporting or helping with our local campaigns by joining / donating

Thank you.

John Edwards
